Methodology

All Idaho lawmakers are rated and ranked on their adherence to the Platform of the Idaho Republican Party (most recently updated and adopted on July 16, 2022 in Twin Falls, Idaho). A comprehensive and independent analysis was conducted on the legislative session with all key votes showcasing a lawmaker’s alignment or divergence from the platform selected for scoring. Every key vote scored includes both a detailed description of the policy as well as a citation to the exact section of the platform which the key vote pertains to, helping ensure an entirely objective evaluation of each lawmaker. In addition to a lawmaker’s overall platform adherence rating, each lawmaker is graded across 10 categories which correspond to the 19 articles of the platform.
